Welcome to the Independent – Sydney's "Newest and Oldest"
Sydney's oldest Edwardian Theatre, the home of Dame Doris Fitton's Independent drama company for 40 years has been restored to its former glory.
The Independent is an ideal small venue and concert hall which seats 300 patrons. It caters to the performing arts on the lower north shore with state of the art lighting and sound.
The venue also provides function rooms for corporate training as well as cinema style sales training presentations and conferences in the Theatre Auditorium with break out areas in the Seaborn Room, The Arches and a beautiful garden setting of the Theatre Laneway. (currently undergoing renovation)
The Seaborn Room is on the upper level of the Theatre and the west wall window's provide natural light plus drapes for AV presentations. It is an ideal function room for meetings, corporate internet training, sales and communication training, formal dinners, cocktail functions or special birthday occasions.
The corporate day delegate package is $60pp* including room hire and full catering. The Seaborn Room's 92 square meters has no pillars enabling a variety of seating arrangements including theatre style for 80, U-shape for 24 - 30, and cabaret style for 80.
