A Prelude in Tea Song Series Concert

Bel a cappella presents Nocturnes, the choir's final concert program of 2018. Celebrate music that explores both literal and figurative aspects of night with a glorious selection music from around the world. The concert will include music by Lauridsen, E.envalds, PŠrt, Maskats, Gjeilo and compositions by local composers. Making their debut performance in the beautiful Independent Theatre as part of the fantastic Voices Series, and with drinks and nibbles included in the ticket price, we can't think of a better way to relax and reflect on the year that's been and to begin to entertain the prospect of Christmas and holidays!

Bel a cappella is a Sydney-based chamber choir under the artistic direction of Anthony Pasquill and since its inception has become renowned for its innovative and engaging performances. The choir has an extensive repertoire ranging from Gregorian chant to twentieth-century music and their concerts are designed to appeal to those who are new to the world of choral music as well as those who already enjoy the choral repertoire and seek to further explore it and hear it at its best. Over recent years the choir has given premieres of works by composers such as Gabriel Jackson, P.teris Vasks, T›nu K›rvits, Bernat Vivancos, Galina Grigorjeva and George Dyson.
