Pacific Opera presents a workshop performance of Staged Scenes from opera, directed by Kate Gaul and conducted by Simon Kenway. Including scenes from Britten's Paul Bunyan and Albert Herring, Meale's Voss, Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro, Weill's Street Scene and more, the concert presentation is the culmination of an intensive week for our Young Artists working on stagecraft and applying these skills directly to real opera scenes with director Kate Gaul.

Pacific Opera is a non-profit arts organisation that exists to provide training and performance opportunities to the young stars of tomorrow's opera stage, both within Australia and across the world. More than 100 of Pacific Opera's young artists throughout the years have gone on to find employment within the profession, gracing stages in Australasia, the UK, the USA and across Europe.
