Spretzzatura! Early Italian Baroque Songs & Sonatas
A Prelude in Tea Song Series Concert
After her sensational performance last year, sublime soprano Anna Sandstrӧm joins the Muffat Collective once more, as we present ‘Spretzzatura!’ A celebration of Monteverdi and Italian Baroque Songs on period instruments. Translated as "effortless mastery" Spretzzatura is “the true source of grace, revealed in the effortless resolution of all difficulties." Sandstrӧm will sing with Sprezzatura, popular Italian songs and madrigals from 17th century Italy, accompanied by virtuosic instrumental improvisations. This concert is a special opportunity to hear music sung by an expert in this captivating and emotionally charged music.
