A Prelude in Tea Concert.

Over the last two decades, the Seraphim Trio - violinist Helen Ayres, pianist Anna Goldsworthy and cellist Tim Nankervis - has become one of Australia’s most acclaimed and admired chamber ensembles. This special concert celebrates the Trio’s formative years at the Australian National Academy of Music, in a program for which they are joined by recent ANAM alumnus, violist Martin Alexander. Together, these outstanding musicians perform Mozart and Dvořák masterworks of the piano quartet repertoire.

Founded in 1998, Seraphim Trio is celebrated for the vitality and intelligence of its music-making. Alongside its acclaimed subscription series, Seraphim Trio is regularly invited to music festivals throughout Australia and internationally. These include the Melbourne International Arts Festival, MusicFest Vancouver, the Port Fairy Spring Music Festival, and the Adelaide Festival of Arts.

A Prelude in Tea is a Sunday afternoon concert series featuring a scrumptious afternoon tea served from 2:30 followed by a 3:30 concert from some of Australia’s best and most exciting small ensembles. With the Streeton Trio, the Flinders Quartet, The Seraphim Trio and more, A Prelude in Tea concert is the perfect Sunday afternoon out.
