2021 began strong, and the venue hosted a couple of events prior to lockdown.
However much like 2020, was filled with challenges, with the rise of COVID-19 cases, and the Greater Sydney 4-month lockdown, the Independent Theatre stood silent, with the ghost light lit.
The venue returned to shows in November with numerous concerts to grace the stage.
Below is a collection of our events, hosted in 2021.
Thankyou to all who performed, attended and supported the Independent Theatre.
Aladdin Jnr. The Musical
From June 18-20 2021, North Sydney Kids Musical Theatre Company presented Aladdin Jnr. The Musical, bringing the audiences and theatre into the mysterious world of Agrabah. The students, led by Company Director Ms Sarah Jarvis brought the world, story and music of Disneys classic film to life. It was an absolute joy to work alongside them and bring a new flair to the Independent.
